Free masonry first came to the shore of what later became the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the year 1865 in Lagos Nigeria with the first Lodge warranted by United Grand Lodge of England, it quickly follows by others warranted by Grand Lodge of Ireland and Grand Lodge of Scotland respectively. Free masonry has not looked back since then, though faced with so many bumps and huddles many of which with the zeal, passion and commitment of several great brethren who make sure that the light never wane, it has remained strong and flourishing and after several years of quest for masonic independence, by our fore- bearers, it originally started with brethren of the three constitutions the English counterpart honorable withdrawn but gave their blessing for the two constitutions to continue with the project.
To the delight of the masonic world on 3rd of November, 2012 after years of efforts and dedication. The Grand Masters of Both Grand Lodge of Ireland and Grand Lodge of Scotland consecrated and erected in a glorious masonic ceremonies Grand Lodge of Antient Free and Accepted Masons of Nigeria in Calabar Nigeria.
For times to come, this page will be dedicated with papers and topical issues across masonic world the homeland Nigeria in particular to enlighten brethren about the craft and highlight masonic events Nigeria.
